Seriously, the Colorful Standard Twill Shorts are the only shorts, you’ll need for summer – here’s why.

Colorful Standard Shorts Review

I love a pair of shorts during the summertime. Whether it’s paired over a swimsuit, linen shirt, or organic Tee, a classic pair of shorts is the perfect summer wardrobe staple. So when asked to try Colorful Standards GOTS-certified organic twill shorts, I jumped at the chance.

I was gifted the Desert Khaki Twill shorts along with the Twill Shorts in Navy Blue, both in Medium. Let’s see what I thought.

Colorful Standard Shorts Review
Overall, the Colorful Standard twill shorts get a 5/5 rating. I LOVE these shorts and have barely taken them off.

The shorts are super comfortable and perfect for wearing outdoors and around the house.

Both Colors complement everything. They’re super slimming and feel super soft!

They hold their shape, color, and quality even after washing!
  • The shorts are made well and easy to pull on and off thanks to the elastic waistband.
  • The shorts have a drawstring cord to tighten and loosen and can be worn as high-waisted or sitting on the waist if you prefer that style.
  • Pockets, pockets, pockets! I loved the deep pockets of these shorts; they were great for carrying my card holder and lip balm without needing a bag!
  • Easy to wash at 30degC.

The only drawbacks I had with the shorts would be that I could have liked the shorts a tiny bit shorter (by a tiny bit, I’m talking a cm here). However, I still thought the shorts looked good and were a good length overall.

The second drawback was that the shorts have the tendency to crease around the legs whilst wearing, which I easily ironed out between wears, and overall it didn’t affect the look of the shorts.

Colorful Standard Twill Shorts

Colorful Standard Twill Shorts are made entirely from GOTS-certified organic cotton, an eco-friendly alternative to conventional cotton as it’s grown with less water and no harmful chemicals.

In addition to being made from a sustainable material, the shorts are created ethically in Portugal in the Colorful Standards partner factory.

Yep, the shorts are machine washable. Mine didn’t shrink or lose color after washing. However, the brand recommends you wash them below 40degC.

I’ve currently had my C.S shorts for over a year now, and the shorts still look brand new, even after wearing hundreds of times!

The shorts are comfortable and easy to wear. The fabric feels durable whilst being lightweight; thanks to the 200g weight.

One thing I liked about the twill shorts was the fact they were not see-through, thin, or flimsy.

I ordered the size M and can easily tighten the drawstring cord to adjust the elasticated waistband size.

Yes! The twill shorts come in 18 colors, from neutral to bold vibrant tones.

I went for the Desert Khaki and Navy Blue, and the shorts were true to the color shown on the website.

Colorful Standard uses Oeko-Tex® certified eco-friendly dyes to achieve their colour collections, meaning no harmful dyes are used.
